US Sanctions 50 Tehran-Linked Entities in Iran, UAE and China

The US sanctioned over 50 entities, including oil and gas tankers as well as an Iranian foreign currency exchange, in its continued bid to get the Islamic Republic to agree to a deal and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

The Treasury Department announced Tuesday that it had blacklisted Amin Exchange and a network of companies connected to the Iran-based currency exchange house, saying it facilitated hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign transactions for sanctioned Iranians.
