Slovenian nationalist leader Janez Jansa, who lost elections in March by a razor thin margin, is on a path to return as premier for a fourth time after lawmakers proposed him for the post on Tuesday.

Lawmakers are expected to give their final approval for him as prime minister as soon as on Friday. While he lost elections to his rival Robert Golob, Jansa was the only leader who was able to find a majority in a fragmented parliament.
