Prime Minister Peter Magyar plans to shore up Hungary’s ties with historic ally Poland on his first official trip abroad, after years when Warsaw was the most scathing critic of Viktor Orban’s pro-Kremlin government.

Magyar starts the three-day trip in Krakow as the face of democratic rebirth in Hungary, following his landslide election victory last month on a pledge to dismantle Orban’s self-styled illiberal state.
