Kokusai Electric Corp.’s biggest shareholder KKR & Co. is offloading its entire 10.6% stake about two and half years after the Japanese chip gear maker’s bumper initial public offering.

The private equity firm intends to cash in on its investment, the Japanese company said Tuesday in a statement. The 24.7 million shares will be sold through securities firms, and Nomura Holdings Inc. will arrange the deal, Kokusai Electric said.
