Former Citadel Quants Raise $78 Million for AI Fintech Moment

Moment, the financial-technology company founded by a cohort of former Citadel Securities quantitative traders and researchers, raised $78 million after signing partners Edward Jones, LPL Financial Holdings Inc. and Hightower Advisors in the past year.

The funding round was led Index Ventures, with participation from other existing investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Avra, according to a statement Tuesday. Moment, which works with firms to automate fixed-income and equities trading technology, last raised $36 million in July.
