Ex-Spanish Premier Zapatero Named Suspect in Airline Graft Case

Former Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero has been named as suspect in an influence peddling case, leading the police to search his office.

National Court judge José Luis Calama has summoned Zapatero to testify as suspect in a probe of alleged graft in a government bailout of an airline, a spokesperson for the court said in a text message. The police was searching his office and three other companies connected to him, the spokesperson said.
