The US Embassy in Kampala has temporarily paused all visa services in Uganda in light of the Ebola virus outbreak in the East African nation and neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo.

“The Department of State is committed to ensuring that its visa process upholds the highest standards for US public health and safety,” the embassy said in a statement.
