Trump Briefs South Korea’s Lee After Summit in Beijing

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung said he talked with President Donald Trump about the outcome of the US leader’s recent summit in Beijing and ways to bolster bilateral cooperation amid shifting geopolitical dynamics.

Lee said in a post on X that Trump briefed him on the results of his May 14-15 meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, while Seoul and Washington’s leaders also exchanged views on international affairs and bilateral cooperation. The call lasted about half an hour on Sunday night, according to a separate statement from the presidential Blue House.
