The Long Island Rail Road strike is approaching a fourth day as labor groups and transit officials have yet to reach a deal.

The nation’s busiest commuter rail line remains shuttered for Monday’s evening commute, leaving workers to face longer travel times as they head home. Parties restarted negotiations Sunday after failing to reach a deal by a late Friday deadline and 3,500 engineers, signalmen and electrical workers walked off the job.
