Korean Stocks Rebound From Brink of Correction on Samsung Rally
South Korean stocks erased much of their morning losses, as optimism over progress in Samsung Electronics Co.’s labor talks helped offset pressure from rising bond yields.
The Kospi was up about 0.2% on Monday as of 11:10 a.m. Seoul time, rebounding from an earlier tumble of as much as 4.7% after the opening bell that briefly pushed the index into correction territory. The Korea Exchange halted program selling after a sharp slump in futures.
