China’s Ministry of Defense signaled it’s open to building trust with Washington, following President Donald Trump’s meeting with Xi Jinping last week.

Stable military ties align with both countries’ common interests, spokesman Senior Colonel Jiang Bin said at a regular press briefing Monday. China is willing to work with the US to step up dialogue, “manage differences, enhance trust and clarify misunderstandings.”
