US authorities are working to extract a small number of Americans from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where a deadly Ebola outbreak is spreading.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is supporting partners who are “actively coordinating the safe withdrawal” of Americans caught up in the outbreak, the agency said in a statement. At least one of the Americans may have developed symptoms, STAT reported.
