German Finance Chief Urges Supply-Chain Resilience Ahead of G-7

German Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil urged partners to deepen cooperation on raw materials, energy and supply chains to reduce vulnerability in face of challenges such as the Iran war.

“The current crises show that it’s economically and politically crucial for Germany and Europe to become more independent and resilient,” Klingbeil said in an emailed statement ahead of a meeting of Group of Seven finance ministers in Paris on Monday.
