Chelsea Appoints Former Real Madrid Head Coach Alonso as Manager

Chelsea FC has appointed Xabi Alonso as its new manager on a four-year contract, the English football club announced the day after its defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
The former Real Madrid head coach will take over from July as a permanent replacement for Liam Rosenior, who was fired in April after less than four months in the role.
