The local campaign manager for Colombian presidential candidate Abelardo de la Espriella and one of his aides were shot and killed late Friday, stoking concerns of violence two weeks before the country’s elections.

Rogers Mauricio Devia Escobar and the aide, Fabian Cardona, were killed in a rural part of Cubarral, south of Bogota, according to a post on X from Rafaela Cortes, the department’s governor. It’s unclear who was behind the attack.
