Nvidia Billionaire Mark Stevens Gifts $175 Million for New Bay Area Medical School

Nvidia Corp. director Mark Stevens and his wife are donating $175 million to help build the first new medical school in the San Francisco Bay Area in more than a century.

The Mark & Mary Stevens School of Medicine will be a partnership between medical system Sutter Health and Santa Clara University, according to a joint statement Friday. Mary Stevens graduated from the university in 1984 and the couple have been repeat donors, including giving nearly $40 million for athletics facilities.
