The National Football League defended expanding its partnership with Netflix Inc., despite facing federal scrutiny over the amount of games it has on streaming services.

“When we’re going onto Netflix, we’re going onto a platform that is already massively adopted and has a huge number of viewers on that platform already, including a huge number of NFL fans,” Hans Schroeder, the NFL executive vice president of media distribution, said on a conference call with reporters Friday.
