Mexican financial authorities blocked the bank accounts of the governor of Sinaloa state and nine other current and former officials who are facing US charges that they aided drug traffickers.

Banks and other financial institutions were advised to freeze the accounts of Ruben Rocha Moya and those nine other individuals, according to people familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified citing confidential discussions. Rocha’s three sons, who weren’t charged in the US, and companies linked to them were also included in the order, one of the people said.
