National Bank Hires Ex-UBS Veteran as It Plans Japan Brokerage

National Bank of Canada hired former UBS Group AG structured investments veteran Naohiro Kuroda as it prepares to launch a brokerage business in Japan, joining other global firms expanding in the country.

Kuroda, formerly a global markets co-head of UBS’s Tokyo securities subsidiary, has joined the Canadian bank as chief executive officer of the planned local brokerage, according to his LinkedIn profile.
