Senegal is making progress toward an deal with the International Monetary Fund, according to the head of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa.
The West African nation has been in talks with the Washington-based lender on a new program after billions of dollars in previously undisclosed debt scuttled its earlier agreement. The government has since struggled to raise funds to repay existing creditors, including Badea, as the bank is known.
