Peru will delay the official announcement of first-round election results by two days as officials continue to resolve a record number of disputed tally sheets.

Electoral authorities had initially planned to announce results of the April vote on Friday, but said in a televised address Thursday that they are still settling disagreements over a small number of ballot tallies.
