Nationalist Wins in UK Lift Case for Irish Unity, Sinn Fein Says

Nationalist victories in elections held in Scotland and Wales earlier this month make a united Ireland more likely to happen soon, Northern Ireland First Minister Michelle O’Neill said.

“The union arrangement is absolutely breaking at the seams,” she told Bloomberg Thursday, saying the rise of nationalist parties in the component nations of the UK creates a “whole new dynamic which we need to chart a way forward.”
