Hungary Inked $4.3 Billion Pre-Ballot 4iG Defense Deal, HVG Says
Hungary’s former government under Viktor Orban signed a 1.3 trillion forint ($4.3 billion) contract with 4iG Nyrt weeks before it lost power, one of the biggest public procurements in the nation’s history, according to news website HVG.
The agreement, which reportedly runs through 2035, raises fresh questions about the opacity of business deals under Orban, who made 4iG into a national champion in the telecommunications and defense sectors.
