Stegra and Its Lenders Agree to Unlock €1.5 Billion Debt Funding

Photographer: Erika Gerdemark/BloombergStegra AB has agreed with creditors to unlock about €1.5 billion ($1.8 billion) of undrawn credit lines which, together with recently secured equity funding, will help complete what will be the world’s biggest green-steel plant.
All the lenders behind more than €4 billion of facilities have given their consent for Stegra to increase borrowings under the lines, according to people familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified discussing private matters.
