Fintech Bunq Applies for Mexican Banking License in Global Push

Bunq BV, a Dutch fintech, filed for a Mexican banking license, becoming the latest digital firm seeking to tap into Latin America’s fast-growing financial-technology market.

The company submitted an application for a full bank license with Mexican regulator Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores, in coordination with the central bank, according to a statement Wednesday.
