The UK’s parliamentary standards commissioner has launched an inquiry into whether Nigel Farage breached the House of Commons Code of Conduct when he didn’t declare £5 million ($6.8 million) from Christopher Harborne.

Farage accepted the sum from the Thailand-based British cryptocurrency investor shortly before winning election to the House of Commons in 2024. The Reform UK leader said it was a private gift to cover his personal security and claimed an exemption from stringent reporting rules.
