European Automakers Press Brussels for Further CO2 Reprieve

Europe’s carmakers are heading to Brussels to renew lobbying against the European Union’s carbon emissions rules to ease mounting pressure on the industry.

Representatives for leading automakers including Volkswagen AG, BMW AG and Mercedes-Benz Group AG, along with suppliers and industry groups, are due to meet EU officials on Wednesday, according to people familiar with the matter.
