The US government’s energy statistics agency will start releasing new data on the world’s strategic reserves and flows of petroleum and liquefied natural gas through shipping choke points.

The Energy Information Administration’s new report will be published quarterly, beginning Wednesday, with energy security datasets that offer indications on how the war in Iran has upended global energy supply and changed key assumptions about oil markets.
