Uniper’s Trading Arm Returns to Profit as Gas Business Improves

Uniper SE’s trading division was back in profit in the first quarter as its gas division performed better and wasn’t impacted by supply disruptions related to the war in the Middle East.

Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization for its Greener Commodities unit were €66 million ($78 million), compared with a €492 million loss in the same period a year earlier, Uniper said in its earnings statement on Tuesday.
