US Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Marty Makary is resigning, according to President Donald Trump, intensifying the turmoil atop the nation’s health agencies.

“He was having some difficulty, you know, he’s a great doctor, and he was having some difficulty, but he’s going to go on and he’s going to do well,” Trump said Tuesday, speaking to reporters on the South Lawn of the White House.
