Source: City of Cape TownStorms lashed South Africa’s southern coastline for a third straight day on Tuesday, causing extensive damage to infrastructure and thousands of homes.
Several roads in Cape Town, the country’s main tourist hub, were inundated by the persistent downpours and motorists were advised to exercise extreme caution, the city’s disaster-management agency said. It called for donations of food and other essentials to assist those affected by the flooding.
