Romanian President Nicusor Dan said he may nominate a new prime minister as early as next week once formal consultations with political parties lead to a clear parliamentary majority for the next government.

The president won’t “make experiments” and will only propose a candidate whose nomination is certain to be accepted by parliament, he told reporters in Bucharest on Tuesday.
