EU in Talks to Join US-Led Alliance to Secure Tech Supply Chains

The European Union is working to join a US-led initiative aimed at securing supply chains for artificial intelligence and semiconductors as competition with China intensifies.

The European Commission, the bloc’s executive arm, is exploring participation in the so-called Pax Silica alliance, though discussions on the terms are ongoing, according to people familiar with the matter. The commission didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
