Rheinmetall and Deutsche Telekom Partner on German Drone Shield

Germany’s largest defense company and its biggest mobile phone carrier plan to jointly develop a defense shield against drones and acts of sabotage to protect critical infrastructure in their home country.

Rheinmetall AG and Deutsche Telekom AG plan to develop a range of capabilities, including cybersecurity technologies and physical perimeters security, they said in a joint statement on Monday. They will work together on sensors, air defense systems and data processing.
