Republic of Congo Requests for New IMF Program to Tackle Debt

Republic of Congo has requested a new funding program with the International Monetary Fund as the country continues to grapple with high debt and low growth.

The central African nation has formally requested the opening of talks with the Washington-based lender for support, the Finance Ministry said Monday.
