Another Qatar LNG Shipment Approaches Hormuz, Bound for Pakistan

Another tanker loaded with liquefied natural gas from Qatar is nearing the Strait of Hormuz, after Pakistan negotiated with Iran for the passage of several shipments through the chokepoint.

The Mihzem, which loaded a shipment from the Ras Laffan plant in late February, appears to have entered an area in the strait that Tehran claims it has control over, ship-tracking data show. It’s currently headed northeast, and is signaling Pakistan as its next destination.
