A Philippine lawmaker, linked to a human rights case before the International Criminal Court, was chased through the hall of the Senate on Monday by authorities, a bizarre sideshow to the drama playing out between President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his vice-president, and arch-nemesis, Sara Duterte.
Philippine Senator Ronald Dela Rosa, a former police chief who led ex-President Rodrigo Duterte’s deadly war on drugs, was seen on closed-circuit television dashing down hallways and up emergency stairwells to evade arrest.
