Ray-Ban Heir Mounts Legal Challenge to €10 Billion Family Deal
An heir to Ray-Ban billionaire Leonardo Del Vecchio’s business empire is challenging the approval process for a roughly €10 billion ($11.8 billion) family deal that would reshape control of EssilorLuxottica SA’s biggest shareholder, according to people familiar with the matter.
The claim was filed by Rocco Basilico in a Luxembourg court on Friday, and could complicate the deal approved last month by shareholders of Delfin Sarl, the family holding company created by Del Vecchio to manage his investments, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing private information.
