WEF Should Be Led by Person Without Corporate Links, Schwab Says

Photographer: Stefan Wermuth/BloombergThe World Economic Forum should be led by someone who doesn’t have a corporate background, according to its founder and former chairman Klaus Schwab, in an apparent dig at the organization’s current leadership.
Schwab, who left last year after a dispute with the WEF board, said at an event Thursday that to maintain its position as a global platform, the forum must be “without conflicts of interest and independent.”
