Taiwan Rebukes China After Report Firm Fired Minister’s Relative
A company operating in China apparently fired the relative of a Taiwanese minister over backing for the island’s independence, according to Chinese state media — a move officials in Taipei condemned.
The Mainland Affairs Council in Taiwan said it strongly opposed China’s Communist Party for “repeatedly employing methods that lack any civilized bottom line, which severely damages the normal investment and operations of Taiwanese businesses and harms cross-strait relations.”
