Sweetgreen Posts Steepest Sales Decline Since the Pandemic

Sweetgreen Inc. sales fell more than expected in the first quarter, showing the salad chain is still struggling to regain its footing after a series of missteps.

Same-store sales fell nearly 13% in the period, missing the average estimate of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. It was the fifth consecutive decline for the measure, and the biggest since the pandemic.
