Leonardo Vote Narrowly Backs New Meloni Board After CEO Row

Leonardo SpA shareholders narrowly approved the Italian government’s slate of board nominees, who overcame a protest vote over Rome’s decision to oust the defense company’s chief executive officer.

The list put forward by the government of Giorgia Meloni garnered 50.1% of the votes, edging out an alternative slate presented by investors lobby Assogestioni, which won 49.5% backing, the company said in a statement.
