Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said he met with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei in a rare public account of interactions with the country’s head of state who’s been in hiding since the start of the war with the US and Israel.

Pezeshkian said the “recent” meeting lasted around 2.5 hours and was “direct, frank, and accompanied by a sense of closeness and trust,” the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency reported on Thursday. Pezeshkian didn’t say what they discussed or where the meeting took place.
