Intrum to Raise $812 Million of Equity Capital to Trim Debt
Swedish credit management firm Intrum AB plans to raise 7.5 billion Swedish kronor ($812 million) of equity capital, as the company continues to struggle with a heavy debt load.
The group said the raise will “accelerate Intrum’s deleveraging path by two years,” according to a statement on Thursday. The new injection will comprise a directed issue of shares of 1.5 billion kronor to select investors as well as a fully underwritten rights issue of about 6 billion kronor.
