Hedge Fund SPX Capital Faces Shake-Up, Moves to Exit London

Brazilian hedge fund SPX Capital is undergoing a major restructuring, with senior partners departing and a rethink of operations that will include shutting its London office, people familiar with the matter said.

Partners Marcelo Castro and Marcella Libardoni are among those leaving the firm, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information is private. Castro, a board member and head of multi-asset who had been at the firm since 2020, is exiting with his team, they added. Libardoni had been with SPX since 2011.
