Elliott Said to Tap Banks to Run Barnes & Noble’s London IPO

Elliott Management Corp. has selected banks to lead a combined initial public offering of book retailers Barnes & Noble Inc. and Waterstones Booksellers Ltd., according to people familiar with the matter.

The investment firm has lined up Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. to arrange a listing in London, the people said, asking not to be identified as the information is private.
