Converse CEO Promises Staff His Plan Will Work as Sales Tumble

After layoffs and its worst quarterly sales in more than decade, Converse’s top executive attempted to reassure his staff that the brand’s strategy will succeed.

“I promise this will work and it’ll work faster than most of us expect it to,” Chief Executive Officer Aaron Cain told Converse employees at a meeting on Thursday, according to a recording reviewed by Bloomberg News.
