Blackstone’s Schwarzman, Citi’s CEO to Join Trump for Xi Summit

Blackstone Inc. Chief Executive Officer Steve Schwarzman and Citigroup Inc. CEO Jane Fraser plan to be among the guests joining US President Donald Trump for his summit in China next week with President XI Jinping, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Trump is forging ahead with plans to hold the meeting in Beijing despite unease among Chinese officials about holding the high-stakes meeting before the war in Iran is resolved, Bloomberg News reported Thursday. The leaders are slated to meet May 14 to 15 for a sit-down that’s already been rescheduled once due to the war that’s triggered a global energy crisis hitting top importers of Gulf crude, including China.
