Chrono24 GmbH — the biggest dedicated online reseller of luxury watches like Rolex — named a new chief executive officer following differences over the company’s strategic direction under its previous CEO.

The unexpected leadership change at the retailer, which counts football star Christiano Ronaldo and the family investment vehicle of LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault among investors, comes as the secondary watch market is staging a rebound, with prices rising to the highest level in more than three years.
