Israeli Army Carries Out First Strike on Beirut Since Ceasefire

The Israeli army carried out an attack in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Wednesday, the first in the vicinity of the Lebanese capital since a US-brokered ceasefire came into effect last month.

The Israel Defense Forces sought to assassinate the commander of Iran-backed Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force in Beirut, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a joint statementBloomberg Terminal.
